Preview: Marseille Host Galatasaray in the Europa League!
Galatasaray travel to Marseille tonight for this Europa League showdown. Who will come out on top in this clash between France and Turkey?
Marseille will be looking to recover from a minor dip in European form when they host Galatasaray in Europa League Group E tonight! Jorge Sampaoli’s Marseille side played out a 1-1 draw with Lokomotiv Moscow on the opening day, while Fatih Terim’s Turkish counterparts came out on top against Lazio, in a game that ended 1-0 in Istanbul.
Marseille’s main man Dimitri Payet returned from injury with a great performance against Lens, that included a stunning trademark free-kick, but Sampaoli may be reluctant to start him twice in quick succession. Marseille also have a Ligue 1 trip to Lille to think about on October the 3rd.

Konrad de la Fuente and Amine Harit will therefore hope to benefit from some Sampaoli rotation in midfield, but Arkadiusz Milik is still out with a knee injury and Boubacar Kamara is suffering from a thigh problem.
Sampaoli should also consider some defensive changes after conceding 3 goals three to Lens, with Pol Lirola and Alvaro Gonzalez both hoping for recalls tonight.
Meanwhile, Galatasaray have a lot more to worry about on the injury front, as Omar Elabdellaoui, Sacha Boey, and Baris Yilmaz are all taking places in the treatment room.
Marcao is available for European matches despite a domestic suspension, and he played the full 90 minutes in the victory over Lazio. The defender should therefore partner Victor Nelsson in the Galatasaray backline.
Taylan Antalyali was not involved in the squad to face Goztepe at the weekend, but the midfielder is only believed to have been rested by Terim and should be ready to play tonight.

Galatasaray can’t seem to get win away from home in Europe, and Marseille regularly find the back of the net on home soil. We predict a 3-1 home win for Marseille!
