England Clash in Hungary in Vital World Cup Qualifier!

England will look to be one step closer to qualification for the 2022 World Cup!

England face Hungary on Tuesday in what promises to be one of Group Gs most exciting matches.

The Three Lions produced an incredible five-star performance to ease past Andorra on Saturday evening, while Hungary suffered a 0-1 defeat to Albania.

With 19 points taken from seven matches in Group G, England have cemented their position at the top of the rankings with a healthy four-point lead over Albania, and notwithstanding a total collapse, they should qualify for Qatar next month.

Since losing the Euro 2020 final to Italy, England have scored 14 and conceded just 1 in four World Cup qualifying battles, with September’s 1-1 draw against Poland proving to be little more than a minor setback en route to another Finals tournament.

Hungary have not qualified for the World Cup Finals since 1986, and that streak is set to be extended with their victory over Andorra on September 9, their only win from their last eight in all tournaments.

In terms of potential lineups, look for England manager Gareth Southgate to revert to his strongest side against Hungary, after leaving most of his big-hitters in reserve against Andorra.

Jordan Pickford is poised to replace Sam Johnstone in goal, while Kieran Trippier and Conor Coady could be replaced by Kyle Walker and Tyrone Mings, but Luke Shaw is said to be more uncertain.

Declan Rice and Jordan Henderson should form the midfield duo in place of the injured Kalvin Phillips, while, in what promises to be an excellent display of power, Jack Grealish, Harry Kane, Raheem Sterling, and Mason Mount should all earn recalls to the final third.

Prediction

England 4 – 0 Hungary

Look for Hungary to suffer a second consecutive defeat, being overwhelmed by the power of England’s attacking players. Jack Grealish and Mason Mount may be among the scorers in front of fans at Wembley.
