Clash of the Titans: Liverpool and Manchester United Face Off

Two of the world’s top attacking teams will collide in a clash of the titans at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon, as Manchester United play host to Liverpool in the Premier League.

Manchester United host Liverpool on Sunday in what looks like a vital game for two teams battling to be in the top four.

Manchester United come off an exhilarating win over Atalanta BC in midweek. Cristiano Ronaldo led the Reds back from being two down at halftime, smashing a winner in the 81st minute past the keeper.

As memorable as their night at Old Trafford was, United’s journey to Leicester City last weekend was anything but, as Patson Daka, Youri Tielemans, Jamie Vardy, and Caglar Söyüncü condemned the Red Devils to their second defeat from three Premier League outings.

The pressure continues to pile on the shoulders of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who is said to retain the faith of United’s board but recent struggles have left more questions needing to be answered.

Liverpool are coming into this game in a strong position. Manchester City, Watford, then Atletico Madrid’s defence were powerless to stop Mohamed Salah, and the Egyptian is continuing to stake his claim as the best in the world at the moment.

Still unbeaten in all competitions since the season commenced, second-placed Liverpool are four points behind leaders Chelsea with one game in hand, and are the only team in the top flight without a single defeat to show from their opening eight matches.

In terms of injuries, Marcus Rashford and Fred both seem to be doubts for this game, after coming off injured against Atalanta, while Liverpool are hopeful Curtis Jones can be welcomed back in time, but Thiago Alcantara is expected to remain out of contention.

We think Liverpool might edge United, scoring three goals to United’s two – with Salah netting two for Liverpool.
