Sensational Liverpool Thrash Manchester United in Five-Goal Thriller!
As Manchester United are humiliated at home by Liverpool – their manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer comes under intense pressure.
Manchester United and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer were handed a humiliating 5-goal defeat in front of their home fans on Sunday, as Liverpool emphasised the vast gulf between the sides in brutal fashion.
Liverpool’s main man – predictably – was Mohamed Salah. The Egypt forward was sensational throughout, and claimed a hat-trick, which now means he has scored in 10 successive games.

Solskjaer and his players faced the full fury of their own fans at home, especially at half time, after a bland and disorganised display.
The worrying signs were there for United after five minutes as Liverpool sliced them open when Salah set up Naby Keita to score at the Stretford End. Only eight minutes later did Diogo Jota slid in a goal at the back post unmarked, adding a second from Trent Alexander-Arnold’s delivery.
By this point, Liverpool were tearing United apart, and the man of the moment, Salah, got his first as he knocked the ball into the roof of the net from Keita’s cross, after which he beat United goalkeeper David de Gea with a low strike to give Jurgen Klopp’s side a four-goal lead at half-time.

As half-time came, Solskjaer response was to send Paul Pogba on for Mason Greenwood, but by this time many United fans had left their seats, unwilling to see more humiliation at home.
On a day when nothing went right for the Reds – even Pogba coming on for Greenwood seemed to have backfired horribly. After Salah completed his hat-trick by converting Jordan Henderson’s superb pass – Pogba was sent off for a reckless lunge on Keita, who was taken off on a stretcher.
The rest was a formality as Liverpool cruised to victory in front of thousands of empty red seats deserted by the home supporters.
