Imperious Away Victory for Chelsea as they Storm Past Foxes!

Rüdiger, Kanté, and Pulisic are on target for the visitors, as they brush Leicester City aside at the King Power Stadium!

Chelsea stayed top of the English Premier League (EPL), with an impressive 3-0 win over Brendan Rodgers’ Leicester City on Saturday.

Antonio Rüdiger nodded in the opener before N’Golo Kanté supplied another and the returning Christian Pulisic netted in the second half.

Ben Chilwell, booed on his return to Leicester, should have opened the scoring against his former club on four minutes, but smashed his shot against the bar, from inside the area.

The left-back was happy moments later, though, as his corner from the right found Rüdiger, who climbed highest to glance a header past Kasper Schmeichel on 14 minutes, for his second goal of this season.

Just before the thirty-minute mark, another ex-Leicester man played a crucial role in Chelsea’s second. Kanté, who won the title with Leicester in 2016, powered through the midfield unchallenged and his left-footed strike beat Schmeichel, to double the visitors’ lead

Rodgers, who was forced to deny speculation linking him with Manchester United ahead of the match, looked a frustrated figure in the first half, with Ademola Lookman’s effort, which was ruled out for offside, the home side’s only real threat on the Chelsea goal.

Chilwell brought a fine save out of Schmeichel early in the second half, as Chelsea piled more pressure on the home team, before Chelsea boss, Thomas Tuchel, brought Pulisic on for his first appearance since the start of November.

The USA forward wasted no time in getting involved and fired past Schmeichel for Chelsea’s third, with 20 minutes left on the clock.

The result means that Chelsea, on 29 points, are now four points ahead of Liverpool and six ahead of Manchester City, at the top of the EPL table. Leicester are down in 12th, with 15.
