Collision in the Capital as Chelsea Travel to Watford for Enormous EPL Clash!

Can Chelsea get back on track with a win against their London rivals? Who will play and what will happen in this massive derby match-up?

With their lead at the top of the table now cut to just one point, Chelsea will look to make a speedy return to winning ways in the English Premier League (EPL), in Wednesday’s London derby with Watford.

While Thomas Tuchel’s side were held to a 1-1 draw by Manchester United, Watford suffered a 4-2 defeat to Leicester City, in a snowy encounter in the East Midlands.

Claudio Ranieri’s team go into this fixture sitting in 16th position in the EPL table, with 13 points. The Hornets are 17 points adrift of Wednesday’s opponents.

Watford have two new injury concerns, with Adam Masina and Emmanuel Dennis both doubtful after picking up knocks in the Leicester defeat.

Ben Foster, the first-choice goalkeeper, missed the King Power loss with a groin strain. The 34-year-old takes his place in the treatment rooms with African stars, Nicolas N’Koulou, Peter Etebo, and Ismaïla Sarr.

The injury-ravaged Hornets have options for change in the full-back positions, in Danny Rose and Jeremy Ngakia. Meanwhile, João Pedro will hope for an opportunity in attack if Dennis is absent.

As for Chelsea, Romelu Lukaku was only fit enough for a short substitute’s appearance against Manchester United, but the Belgian could be ready for a start here, although N’Golo Kanté looks unlikely to feature.

Ben Chilwell and Mateo Kovačić will also be missing for Tuchel’s outfit, with Ross Barkley and Saúl Ñíguez desperately hoping for opportunities in The Blues’ depleted midfield.

César Azpilicueta and Andreas Christensen will surely come into consideration for starts in the rearguard, and Mason Mount should be fit enough for reselection in the final third.

Tuchel’s side have shipped just one goal on their travels all season so far and have plentiful choices for rotation in attacking areas Therefore, we can only imagine Chelsea winning this fixture. Our prediction is 3-0 to the visitors, with 2 goals coming in the second half.
