Kane Strikes in Action-Packed Spurs Draw with Liverpool!

Harry Kane is finally on the scoresheet, as Spurs and Liverpool play out a highly entertaining, four-goal draw in London. Robertson sees red, as the Merseyside club lose ground in the Premier League title race!

Liverpool lost two points in their quest for the English Premier League (EPL) title, in a thrilling 2-2 draw at Tottenham, that saw Andrew Robertson sent off for the visitors.

Manchester City’s 4-0 win at Newcastle earlier meant Liverpool wouldn’t lead the EPL at Christmas for the first time in four years. Jürgen Klopp’s side now sit in second place, three points adrift of leaders, City.

Harry Kane ended his EPL goal drought 13 minutes in when he finished into the bottom corner from Tanguy Ndombele’s perfectly-weighted through-ball. However, the home side failed to double their advantage, despite numerous opportunities.

Diogo Jota made Spurs pay for their wastefulness on 35 minutes, by climbing high to nod in a Robertson cross from the left flank.

The Reds took the lead midway through the second half, when left-back, Robertson, redirected a Trent Alexander-Arnold drive into the home side’s net.

However, Son Heung-min was on hand to level for Spurs, after an error by Alisson four minutes later, in a fast-paced and exciting encounter at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Robertson had been excellent but the Scotland captain picked up a straight red for a reckless tackle on Emerson Royal. The decision was made after referee Paul Tierney, reviewed the incident on the pitch-side monitor, 13 minutes from time.

Antonio Conte’s unbeaten league start at Tottenham now stretches to five games, though his side stay seventh in the EPL, with games in hand on the teams above them.
