Watford Host Spurs in Enormous New Year’s Day EPL Clash!
Tottenham travel to Watford in a bid for three points that would put the pressure on Arsenal, who are fierce rivals for a Champions League birth. Watford desperately hope for a win to edge away from the relegation zone.
Tottenham Hotspur will be seeking to return to winning ways in the English Premier League (EPL), when they travel to Vicarage Road on Saturday afternoon, to lock horns with Watford.
Spurs go into this showdown off the back of a disappointing 1-1 draw with Southampton on Tuesday, while Watford went down 4-1 to West Ham United at home at the same time.
Times have been tough for Claudio Ranieri’s side since recently. The Hornets have suffered five league defeats on the bounce, to Leicester City, Chelsea, Manchester City, Brentford, and West Ham United. This run sees them now languishing in 17th spot in the EPL table, with 13 points from 17 games.
Meanwhile, Spurs are unbeaten in their first seven league matches under new boss, Antonio Conte, picking up four wins in the process. The north Londoners now have 30 points from 17 matches, which leaves them in seventh position in the table, just five points behind fourth-placed Arsenal, with two games in hand over the Gunners.
For Watford, Cucho Hernández could drop out of the home side’s forward line, but Emmanuel Dennis and Joshua King are nailed on starters for the Hornets once again.

Head coach, Conte, may make just one alteration from the Tottenham side that started against Southampton, with Lucas Moura displacing Dele Alli. Oliver Skipp is also an option to replace Harry Winks in the engine room, if the Italian manager decides that a change is necessary.
